Nickel plate is fabricated into caustic evaporator shells, chemical processing vessels and battery-industry equipment where purity and resistance to caustic alkalis outweigh the cost of standard steel.
Nickel 200 and low-carbon 201 are held in annealed condition, ready for cutting and forming.

Technical Note — 201-grade plate is specified for vessels operating above roughly 315°C to avoid carbon-related graphitisation embrittlement that can affect the standard 200 grade at sustained high temperature.
